Mechanicsburg, PA – American Mint, LLC, one of the nation's leading providers of collectible coins, knives, will have its Official Grand Opening ceremony for its new 50,000 square foot warehouse and office facility in Mechanicsburg on Friday according to company President Kevin Sacher.
The firm, which passed its one millionth U.S. customer mark just last year, has been operating in its current facility since 1998 and employs about 80 people.
“We had a banner year in 2011," Sacher said. "We grew our workforce 11%, and are excited to be creating new jobs. We really appreciate the quality workforce here in central Pennsylvania," he added, "and we plan to add even more jobs as we settle into the new facility. We are excited to make the commitment to the local community."
Special guests, including Governor and Mrs. Corbett and local dignitaries of Cumberland County and Upper Allen Township who have been so supportive and helpful in this endeavor, have been invited to the grand opening event at 1pm, which will be held at 5051 Louise Drive in Mechanicsburg. The firm said that the builders, Hanover-based Conewago Enterprises, were great to work with and completed the building in only 11 months.
